Right Behind You by Gail Giles
Right Behind You was an awesome book! This book is a great book for grades 9-12, and great for anyone; boys and girls would both enjoy this novel. It was a very fast reading book; I just couldn’t put it down! This book was about a very young boy who commits a very harsh crime. Kip, also known as “Wade,” is envious of his neighbor’s baseball glove and decide to shut him up by lighting him on fire. Although the mental hospital says that Kip is mentally insane, as he grows older he becomes a very bright person. He has to move from his home town in Alaska to keep from being killed himself. Let’s just say everyone held grudges against him.
On the first move Wade has it all; he makes good friends, good grades, and gets a cute girlfriend. He also becomes captain of the swim team. His friends think he has it all, but Wade knows better. The only problem is, is that he is living a lie and ends up “feeding the hungry ghost” and spilling the beans. If you’re looking for a great reading book, Right Behind You is a great choice!
