Billed as the program that “makes show-n-tell cool again,” PhotoStory 3 is a fun new program we have on all the media center computers. It is a very easy program that combines still photos, music, and voice narration to tell a story. It can be used to upgrade a powerpoint and tell a very visual story. Ask one of us for a microphone, and you can add your own voice! The photostory will play in Windows Media, Quicktime, etc. Try it out – it’s easy to use and will “wow” your teacher! ~Mrs. Frilot
This is the book I’m currently reading. It was recommended to me by Mrs. Golemme, and, well, my 9-month-old’s name is Audrey. Anyway, this book is just plain fun! Very current with music and popular culture – high school student Audrey loves music, dates a guy in a band, dumps him, and then he writes a hit song called Audrey Wait! Meanwhile, she’s slowly falling for James, the dorky cute guy she works with at the local ice cream shop. When “Audrey Wait!” starts climbing the charts, she becomes a paparazzi target and has to figure out how to be a normal teenager who just happens to have a hit song written about her. It’s a fun read, and Audrey is incredibly down-to-earth and likable. I highly recommend! ~Mrs. Frilot
Although I have my own self-absorbed family blog, this is the first foray into the world of library blogging! Thanks for stopping by. I hope that this blog becomes a place where ideas are shared and books are reviewed. Stay tuned!
